European Microfinance Award 2019: €100,000 Prize Opens Its Call for Applications!

 

The 2019 European Microfinance Award “Strengthening Resilience to Climate Change” is now open to all organisations active in the financial inclusion sector that provide products and services to help vulnerable communities become more resilient to the effects of climate change.

This year features many changes to the Award: eligibility has been broadened to include non-financial institutions that collaborate with financial service providers, and a new two-stage application process has been created, featuring a fully revamped and shortened application form. To learn more about the Award, eligibility criteria, the selection process and the benefits of taking part, please consult the Explanatory Note available on the European Microfinance Award website.

The closing date for short-form applications (Round I) is 9th April 2019.

Applicants who successfully qualify for Round II will be invited to submit full-form applications during the first half of May.The objective of €100,000 the European Microfinance Award 2019 “Strengthening Resilience to Climate Change” is to recognise organisations active in the financial inclusion sector that provide financial and non-financial products and services aimed at strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities to the effects of climate change.
