Eight EaSI Technical Assistance Events During the MFC Annual Conference 2019

Seven workshops and one investment readiness training are organised under the European Union’s EaSI Technical Assistance Programme, taking place during the 22nd MFC Annual Conference 2019.

The pre-conference microfinance workshop titled ‘Digital Marketing Made Easy’ will take place in the same venue as the conference and will enhance your understanding of how to effectively strategise and develop a smart digital action plan for your institution. Our experts will introduce the participants to a number of digital marketing solutions, such as the use of social media marketing, email marketing, digital advertising, content creation, search engine optimization (SEO), and affiliate marketing and how these could be used to their advantage.

Four EaSI TA microfinance workshops will take place on the first day of the conference – 30 May:

  • 11:30 – 12:45 Workshop 1b: Digital Payment Solutions for Microfinance Clients
  • 14:00 – 15:15 Workshop 2a: Talking about Agile – A New Buzzword Explained
  • 14:00 – 15:15 Workshop 2b: Gaining Efficiency through Digital Processes and Systems
  • 16:00 – 18:00 Fintech Marketplace Pitches and Speed Networking with Fintechs and Investors

The first workshop on payment solutions will let microfinance institutions share their experiences in developing payment products and services, while the second and third workshops will explore agile ways of working and how to set up your systems and processes for improved efficiency.

Three additional EaSI Technical Assistance events are planned for the second day of the conference – 31 May:

An investment readiness training – ‘Practical Guide to EaSI Financial Instruments for Microfinance’ will provide tips for practitioners on how to access funding under the EU’s EaSI Financial Instruments via the European Investment Fund (EIF).

Two additional workshops on the topics of digital transformation will take place simultaneously:

  • 10:30 – 11:45 Workshop 3a: Navigating the Digital Jungle: Tips and Tricks for MFIs
  • 10:30 – 11:45 Workshop 3b: Why Digital Transformation Depends on Workforce Transformation?

All EaSI Technical Assistance workshops, which take place during the official conference days are open for attendance to all conference guests and do not require additional registration.

In total about 300 microfinance practitioners, policy makers, financial inclusion experts, FinTech representatives and development officials from over 30 countries worldwide are expected to take part in the events of the conference.
