The European Union is offering a two-day investment readiness training in Milan, Italy, on 25-26 November 2019 under the EaSI Technical Assistance programme offered to microfinance institutions that have been selected as programme beneficiaries.
This is a training tailored to the needs of small Italian microfinance institutions who need support to help match investor expectations with their needs. The key expert delivering the training, which will take place in Italian, will guide the participants through best practice in the definition of their fundraising strategy, investor search, communication and reporting.
In addition, the institutions will receive tips on how to prepare for negotiations with international investors (such as EIF), lenders or funders. The training will also include a module on current EU policies, practices and procedures, which may have impact on the operations of the institutions – such as the European Code for Good Conduct for Microfinance Provision.
Finally, the training will offer more tools for inclusion of EU funding opportunities in the participating institutions’ strategy and business plans.
The event organizers expect to welcome participants from about 10 Italian microfinance institutions, interested in improving their operations and understanding better the expectations and standards of donors.
Other European microfinance providers, either selected as EaSI Technical Assistance beneficiaries or interested in applying for the programme can contact the EaSI Technical Assistance secretariat to receive more information about this event, as well as to request the participation in or organisation of similar events.
