These events are free of charge for MFC and EMN members. Participants are expected to cover only travel and accommodation expenses.
The HR event will explore a critical issue of recruiting and retaining talent by microfinance organizations. Once offering attractive job opportunities, MFIs increasingly face challenges in attracting employees for loan officer jobs but also for other positions such as IT and marketing. The participants will share their current practices in recruitment and staff retention and learn new approaches to be a more attractive employer. With the help of your peers and top industry experts – Kim Pityn [read the invitation from Kim] and Nejira Nalic McCarrick – you will have an opportunity to review your staff recruitment practices and craft more effective ones.
The Chief Credit, Risk and IT officers workshop will focus on the current technologies used by microfinance institution and potential application of blockchain that some MFIs already use. The workshop will allow the participants to gain the core knowledge about blockchains, review several existing applications of blockchain in microfinance and assess the value of blockchains for their organizations
For each workshop we want to ask you to make a short presentation about how your organization is currently doing in relation to the topic of the event. This is just a short introduction to share information with your colleagues, and it is not expected to be a formal presentation.
We hope that during the Peer Exchange Workshops you will find time for learning from your colleagues and gaining new technical skills that will allow you to review your options and seek fresh solutions for your organization.
Both events are sponsored by EIB institute.
